Although she was born into a family full of dentists, she was never pushed towards this path but found her calling naturally.

In fact, she initially set out with a major in Business Administration, but her first semester quickly revealed that it wasn't her cup of tea. It was during this period that she developed an interest in dentistry. She decided to try her hand at being a dental assistant, and instantly knew that the world of dentistry was where she belonged.

Dr. Leon completed her undergraduate studies at the renowned University of Central Florida with a major in Biology before earning her doctorate from Howard University College of Dentistry.

The decision to start her own practice came when both she and her father felt it was time for new chapters; him slowing down his pace while giving Dr. Leon an opportunity for ownership.

As a dentist, what brings joy to Dr. Leon is twofold - crafting confident smiles for patients and dispelling their fear about dentistry procedures. Dr. Leon aspires to be known not just for transforming smiles through cosmetic work, but also for her compassionate and gentle approach.

Meet Dr. Marla Chavez, a proud Florida native, born and raised in Miami. Dr. Chavez embarked on her journey in healthcare at the University of Central Florida, where she delved into Health Sciences. Her passion for dentistry led her to the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

Driven by a fusion of art and science, Dr. Chavez discovered her true calling in dentistry, recognizing how these seemingly different worlds harmonize beautifully. She explored her artistic skills in high school, through ceramics and active involvement in art club, revealing her aptitude for creating and working with her hands. This passion for art has translated to her love for dentistry.

Starting from a young age, service has always been at the core of Dr. Chavez's spirit. Seeing the smiles of those she helps, meets, or cares about reminds her of the "why" in everything she does. For Dr. Chavez, the essence of dentistry lies in the personal connections made with her patients. Her favorite part of working alongside patients is having that one-on-one interaction with the patient while earning and building their trust along the way.
